Cute, cosy and all yours, this oh-so-homely cottage in Winfrith Newburgh village is the ideal base for soloists and loved-up duos. Sleeping up to two people and inviting your two waggy-tailed pals to join in too, you can head out to profit from Dorset’s varied landscapes and wealth of attractions by day and return to roost in your private retreat. Only 4 miles from Lulworth Cove and 0.5 miles from the local dog-friendly pub, you can play, eat, sleep and repeat, and leave the worries of everyday life far, far behind.

Coming inside this exclusive bolthole, you’ll discover the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner which combines a pared-back style with neutral tones and comfortable furnishings. Home to plump sofas waiting to take the weight off, the lounge area is perfect for rainy days and early evenings. Load up the wood burner in winter and listen to the merry crackle of flames as an amber glow warms the room. When thoughts turn to food, the country-style kitchen is well-equipped with everything you could need and is complemented by small dining areas inside and out. Gather round for finger-licking food and plot tomorrow’s adventures. When night draws in, you will find a triple bedroom, with a double and a single bed, off the hallway, as well as a bathroom with a shower over the bath. For convenience, an additional single bed can be provided upon request.

Ideally placed for exploring Dorset’s beautiful Isle of Purbeck, you can look forward to happy days spent tracing the Jurassic Coast and visiting the multitude of little villages and towns nearby. A lovely cosy cottage in an ideal location for our short visit to the area. The cottage is on a quiet lane with a river, and there were lots of places that we could walk our dog, near by. The cottage had everything we needed, a cosy sitting room, and comfy bedroom, the kitchen was well equiped but we chose to walk to the local pub (The Red Lion) foRead morer breakfast and dinner. The owners popped round one evening to say hello and check that everything was ok for us. Hide

Wins Place was the perfect base for us to visit all our favourite places in Dorset. The owners (Sharon & David) had left us a welcome pack, including a bottle of wine & biscuits, which was a really nice touch & they checked in with us to ensure we had everything we needed. The kitchen was well equipped for us to make dinner on an evening & we had aRead more really comfortable/cosy week at Wins Place. We would definitely stay here again! Hide

Myself and my son stayed at the property and I was surprised to find only the double bed was made up and the single was not. I would have expected the beds should be made up regardless of who is staying there. When we arrived at the cottage it smelt musty and not very fresh. Although the cottage was not dirty maybe more attention should be given toRead more cleaning and freshening things especially as dogs are permitted to stay here, and that is fine I dont dislike dogs or I wouldnt have booked here.
