Attractive Grade II listed stone cottage offering sensitively updated period-style accommodation for up to seven guests, situated in the pretty village of Corfe Castle, just a few miles from the Dorset coast.

This property enjoys a fantastic location at the end of a quiet lane in the picturesque village of Corfe Castle known for its impressive Civil War era castle. This thousand-year old monument makes an interesting day to spend a day, wandering the walls and enjoying the varied programme of events which take place throughout the year. Besides from the castle, the village is also home to the Swanage Railway, allowing visitors to catch a heritage steam train and enjoy a leisurely trip through the countryside to the nearby seaside town of Swanage with its sandy beach.

This Grade II listed cottage offers attractive accommodation which has been updated with care and attention to create a relaxing holiday cottage. The lounge on the ground floor has a beamed ceiling, a stone fireplace with a warming wood burner, a pretty window seat, and a TV/DVD. A second lounge area can be found in the cottage’s sunny conservatory, from which patio doors open onto the garden. The kitchen/diner is a spacious light-filled room, which has a well-equipped kitchen area offering an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher. The dining area, at one end of the room is situated next to three steps which lead up to a door opening onto the garden, whilst there is a separate utility room which houses the washing machine. One of the property’s bedrooms, a restful single room with an additional pull-out bed (suitable for a child only), is also located on the ground floor, as is the bathroom with its shower-over-bath and WC. The remaining three bedrooms can be found at the top of steep cottage-style stairs on the first floor, where the landing is lit at night with motion sensor floor-level lighting. The first bedroom on this floor is the king-size master bedroom with its attractively beamed ceiling, whilst the second bedroom is a peaceful double room, with the third being a pretty single. A shower room with a rainfall shower and WC is also located on this floor. 

Patio doors from both the dining room and the conservatory open onto the garden which has an attractive stone patio close to the house, several steps from which lead up to a generously-sized lawn. There is garden furniture provided in the garden as well as a brick base which is suitable for disposable BBQs. Parking for two cars can be found to the front of the property.

The cottage was perfect for our stay. Its really well equipped and very comfortable. The main living room was fairly small but the kitchen has an ample-sized table for more seating. The beds were comfortable and the bedrooms a good size. Games compendium was well used. We ate at the Greyhound and Bankes Arms in the village. The Greyhound was slightRead morely better. A very comfortable and relaxing cottage with all amenities and perfectly situated being quiet bup within half a mile of pubs, bakery and general stores. Nice enclosed garden with patio which we would have used if the weather had been better.

Wyncott Cottage is a beautiful old cottage in a wonderful location. We love Corfe Castle and have stayed before with our daughter and her family. The cottage was so well equipped there was nothing we couldn't find that we needed and the granddaughters loved the garden with fruit trees. Lovely cottage, plenty of space for the three of us. My 12 year old granddaughter adored her bedroom overlooking the garden. The living room is cosy, the kitchen light and airy, bedrooms spacious, and double beds comfy (didn't use single rooms). We enjoyed the large games compendium we found in the sun room. Gorgeous and well-equipped cottage in fantastic location. Easy 5 min walk to Corfe castle and all the attractions of Corfe - lovely eating places, model village, bakers, great village store. Sandy beaches about 20 min easy drive. All busy but still actually pleasant, with warm, calm sea great for swimming. Take inflatables! Steam train in Corfe is Read morea good way to get to Swanage. Lovely cottage in a lovely village.Very clean, spacious and extremely well equipped. Easy walk into Corfe Castle for papers and provisions. Nice patio to catch some fresh air for breakfast and dinner. We had a super time and hope to visit another time.

We filled this cottage to the max with 6 plus baby. Travel cot high quality with quality pillows and duvets on beds. Plenty of crockery. Great location for gentle stroll round village, playground area for children and runs across Corfe Common at end of the lane for the more energetic! This is a charming and very well equipped cottage, within easy walking distance of the centre of Corfe Castle village and the start of numerous gorgeous cross country walks. The cottage had everything we needed, a lovely garden, comfy beds and parking for two cars. At night, it was blissfully quiet.
