Walking

The Bridport area is criss crossed with many footpaths and trails that are there for all to enjoy and explore the wonders of the Dorset Countryside. Historical and literary links abound in this reagion with The Monarchs Way – used by Charles II as an escape route and The Hardy Trail to name but two……and not forgetting the South West Coast Path along the Jurassic Coast

Bridport and West Dorset Golf Club

Located above West Bay, this is an 18 hole, 6213 yard, cliff top links style golf course. The golf club was founded in 1891, making it the oldest in Dorset. Enjoy stunning views across Lyme Bay and Chesil Beach while you play.

Boat trips and Fishing Trips

Lyme Bay Rib – a fast blast to get the adrenaline pumping or a gentle cruise are both available for all the family to enjoy. Take a trip out on one of the charter boats operating from the harbour. A variety are on offer from a short mackerel fishing trip to an all day deep sea option. Try Dawn Mist, Jolly Dodger, Ruby J or Channel Warrior, bookings can be made at The Angling Centre in West Bay

Diving

Lyme Bay offers great reef and wreck diving for the beginner and the experienced diver. There are fifteen reefs, ten shipwrecks, three submarines and an American Flying Fortress to explore.
