Cafes and Takeaways – Bridport

As you’d expect there is a range of excellent cafes in both Bridport and West Bay. Just slightly beyond in Burton Bradstock is Hive Beach, a cafe by name but serving restaurant style food in a beautiful location.

With indoor/outdoor seating overlooking the beach and the sea, the atmosphere here is amazing. The seafood platters for lunch and dinner (summer only) are exceptional and the breakfasts are talked about all over Dorset! These guys take “locally sourced” to a whole new level. Dogs not only welcome, but adored!!

Rachel’s, West Bay

On “The Mound” by the Harbour Masters’ office, this unassuming ‘shed’ provides alfresco dining with some of the best seafood dishes around. All food is freshly prepared so arrive early and be prepared for a short wait in peak season.

Sally’s Fish Camp, Abbotsbury

Sally’s Fish Camp is an easy and exciting way to order and enjoy your favourite shellfish, delivered directly to your holiday cottage. Choices of shellfish delivered on ice in a stylish bucket, a handmade wooden crate or quite simply, in a picnic bag.

Enjoy a “lazy afternoon” or maybe watch a romantic sunset tucked away on the beach sharing the good things in life and seeing the sun dip below the horizon, with one of these fabulous fishy treats. Check out Sally’s Fish Camp website for further details and ordering information.

The Watch House, West Bay

Right on the beach, this cafe offers views across Lyme Bay and outstanding cuisine – a seasonal menu, locally sourced fish specials on the blackboards, wood fired pizzas and an ice cream parlour.
