Self-catering holiday accommodation in West Lulworth

A large, popular village in the Purbeck district of Dorset, West Lulworth leads down into the renowned Lulworth Cove. The cove has many tourist facilities, pubs and restaurants and is home, of course, to a world-famous horseshoe-shaped cove. There are also plenty of paths leading to coastal walks including the South West Coast Path which takes you to the beautiful limestone arch of Durdle Door. The village itself has a pub dating back to the 16th century, a church built from local stone and a village shop.

The village is small and in the 2011 census only had 291 households and a population of 714. A small and charming resort, it is wonderful to visit at any time of year, though visitors flock to the area during the summer months, mainly to spend days on the beach at Lulworth Cove. The village is a traditional Dorset fishing village and retains its olde-worlde feel, and it is easy to spend many an afternoon wandering around discovering the history of both East and West Lulworth.
