When dinnertime arrives, plate up at the dining table or step outside and descend a step to the patio where you can enjoy al fresco banquets and sundowner drinks. With a ground-floor wet room, a bathroom with shower over the bath and an en-suite, there are plenty of places to rinse off or to enjoy a relaxing soak before you head to bed. The three bedrooms offer tranquil places to drift off, with one double residing on the ground floor and the master king-size and the twin room located on the first floor. Take care of sloping ceilings upstairs. There is ample off-road parking.
Pack up a picnic and head to the local beach at Charmouth which sits less than a mile from your door. Spend family-friendly days in the sand and sea, or head further afield and explore one of the many bays and coves which dot the fabulous surrounding coastline. A 3.5-mile journey north will take you to the National Trust’s Lambert’s and Coney’s Castle, a pair of hill forts steeped in history and starting points for brilliant walks.
