Take a beautiful family holiday in this charming cottage. It’s gorgeously decorated throughout, and located in the picturesque village of West Lulworth, close to the Dorset coast, which has lots of incredible features and stunning views. It’s the perfect place for an outdoorsy group and up to two dogs who like to holiday in style.
Enter the property into a porch area, where you can leave your outdoor things, and then continue to the open-plan kitchen/lounge/diner. You can warm up with the underfloor heating as you check out the well-equipped kitchen area or relax in the lounge. One of the sofas converts into a double bed for additional guests. Everything is beautifully and thoughtfully decorated to create a relaxing space. To one side there’s a patio door for garden access and natural light, and there’s also a downstairs WC. Head upstairs for the pretty family bathroom, featuring a shower over the bath. There are two bedrooms to choose from. The first is a king-size bedroom boasting an en-suite shower room, and the other bedroom is a twin. The property has a rear garden, enclosed by a wall, fence and hedge. It’s a lovely spot for sunny afternoons and evenings because you can try the BBQ, dine alfresco at the outdoor table and then roast marshmallows by the fire pit. Please note dogs are not permitted upstairs in the property.
You’ll be staying on the Jurassic Coast, surrounded by incredible things. Amble 1.5 miles to find a Fossil Forest, the 150 million-year-old fossilised remains of a tree. If you continue (3 miles from the property) you’ll come to Mupe Bay Beach, which is great for swimming and welcomes dogs. It’s a bit of a walk to get there, so don’t just pack your flip-flops. Alternatively, you’re 2 miles from the enchanting cove of Durdle Door.
