Self-catering holiday accommodation in Preston

Preston is the ideal getaway just a couple of miles out of Weymouth. Weymouth is famous for its excellent shopping and Guild celebrations; it is also home to a series of events throughout the year with street theatre, live music and poetry nights. Away from the hustle and bustle, there are beautiful gardens and parks as well as the 21-mile circular Guild Wheel route, perfect for a walk or bike ride.

Preston Beach, which stretches from Greenhill to Bowleaze Cove, it is the ideal place for families who can allow children to paddle in the shallows while adults discover the reef which lies quite close to the shore. The beach is a good fishing spot and is popular with both sea anglers and dog walkers, who will find it much less busy than Weymouth's more popular beaches. Nature lovers will enjoy RSPB Lodmoor which is situated just behind the beach. Attracting a whole host of birdlife and having one of the largest tern colonies in the south-west, it also offers a nature trail through the reserve that visitors can follow. For something a little more active, you can find a great selection of traditional amusements around Weymouth Central Beach a few miles along the coast.
