Ideally situated in a picturesque village just north of Wimborne, this stylishly presented cottage makes a beautiful retreat for two guests and is nicely placed for exploring the Dorset and Hampshire countryside. Local activities include golf, fishing and clay pigeon shooting, or you could simply sit back and enjoy this blissful property’s welcoming wood burner and relaxing hot tub.

Entered via a couple of steps, this elegant single-level barn conversion features a spacious, bright and friendly open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with a full-height vaulted ceiling and picture windows flooding the room with light. The cosy lounge is perfect for snuggling up with a good book or watching a favourite show on the Smart TV. The attractive kitchen is a pleasure to cook in, and there’s a charming dining area with far-reaching views. The king-size bedroom features a free-standing bath and a separate walk-in shower. The cottage also has an en-suite WC. The enclosed garden is a pleasant space to relax in, with a covered wood-fired hot tub, patio, artificial lawn, BBQ and outdoor furniture.

The cottage enjoys a fabulous rural location, with two golf clubs, Holt Heath National Nature Reserve, the beautiful Moors Valley Country Park and Forest and Avon Heath Country Park all within 6 miles. To the east is the New Forest National Park (8 miles), or you can head west to discover the Cranborne Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (1.5 miles). Nearby towns include Ringwood and Wimborne (both within 8 miles), with landmarks including Kingston Lacy (10.5 miles) and Wimborne Minster. The popular seaside town of Bournemouth is just a short drive away (16.5 miles).

The accommodation was superb and the hosting was second to none. Lots of care was taken by the owners to ensure our stay was comfortable. I highly recommend the pig cottage to relax in, hot tub was fantastic.

Initial impressions are WOW however sadly this did not last. Hot tub leaked making it unusable-3 attempts to fix before ordering a part on day 4 of holiday. Dishwasher is installed incorrectly causing injury-owner already aware but "hadn't got round to replacing" Everything above eye level covered in dust, bedroom light covered in cobwebs. After living abroad and holidaying abroad for some considerable years, we came back to the UK and a Pandemic Hit us. Restrictions lifted We came to Pig Cottage. Super cottage - ticked all the boxes. There is a constant traffic flow on passing road, especially during the 'going to work time'. Should this be mentioned in details of the cottage?

Lovely cottage close to loads of walks and places of interest. Very clean luxury accommodation. It is next to a very busy and too dangerous to walk on cut through country lane though which might not be ok for some and you can hear traffic.

We loved this cottage. Good location for driving down to the coast. Pig cottage was well equipped. Bed and furnishings were very comfy. Wood burning hot tub takes some work but was worth the wait. It Was great for our little pug to be in a safe enclosed garden . Prosecco and flowers on arrival were a lovely touch.

This is a wonderful cottage for two in a location which is brilliant for exploring the Dorset coast and the New Forest. It was spotlessly clean with lovely welcoming touches when we arrived. The owners were on hand to greet us and help us settle in and they were just a text away if we needed them. We stayed for Christmas at Pig Cottage this year. What a lovely cosy place to stay. The owners had put up a lovely Christmas tree and with the log burning fire going it was fabulous.

Had a wonderful stay, Pig Cottage is just as stunning as the photos. Had a private garden perfect for our two dogs, the property is located centrally to go off exploring for the day. Already looking forward to visiting again in the future. 100% recommend!

We spent a week at Pig Cottage to explore the New Forest and the Jurassic Coast and it's ideally located for both. The cottage is immaculate, the bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed the hot tub once we got the hang of the wood burner. There isn't a pub in walking distance but the Old Inn is a fantastic place just a ten minute drive down the roaRead mored. We also had lovely takeaway delivered. A stunning cottage finished to the highest quality, nice welcoming touches flowers biscuits and Prosecco . The hot tub was easy to use . The owners Mr & Mrs Crossman were very welcoming and close at hand ( not that they were needed ) . Ideally situated to explore the delights of Dorset, would definitely recommend you wont be disappointed.

I booked this cottage last minute for my partners birthday and we were both extremely impressed with not only the design of the accommodation but also the effort that the owners went to, to make sure we were settled and happy. Pig Cottage did not disappoint! We were greeted by owner who showed us round and we were blown away with the place! My husband and I have 3 kids and wanted somewhere to get away from it all and relax and Pig Cottage was perfect. The bath was so romantic as was the hot tub. Will definitely be going back!!

This cottage was amazing for our first ever holiday together, was very modern with a old fashioned twist. The hot tub, log fire, and bathtub made it a cosy and relaxed stay! I loved the special touch that they had left for us upon arrival (biscuits and prosecco). We will definitely be coming back!
