One and a half miles from the historic market town of Bridport is the small harbour and resort of West Bay. With the stunning golden glow of the sandstone cliffs and the shimmering radiance of Golden Cap, West Bay is the golden gateway to the Jurassic Coast. Made even more famous as the location of the ITV series Broadchurch, West Bay is known for its colourful kiosks serving traditional fish and chips along with a number of other pubs, cafés and restaurants, including the wonderful Station Kitchen.

West Bay is home to the iconic climbable golden gateway cliff that you can venture up for stunning views but be careful as it is steep at the bottom of the cliff. Close by is the Bridport Harbour and Marina, perfect for kids looking to do some crab fishing. There are also play areas, a swimming pool with fun slides and amusement arcades as well as a health and leisure centre in Bridport and rowing boat hire if you want to get out and about on the water. During the popular holiday weeks, a fun fair visits West Bay - great for all ages of children as well as adults hoping to win a prize or two on the many different stalls!
