This is a special event and a chance to see the only working Tiger Tank in the world!

Monkey WorldJurassic Beast Bike Ride

Starting at Bovington Tank Museum there are three rides; short – 36 miles, standard – 63 miles and EPIC – 101 miles. The epic really does live up to its name with an elevation gain of 7000 feet over the 100+ miles!

Dorset Art Weeks

This is one of the largest Open Studio events in the country bringing artists and visitors together in ways that are often remarkable and profoundly different from entering a public gallery.

Puddletown Plod

This half-marathon road race is an annual event held by St Mary’s School Association supported by Egdon Heath Harriers. It’s a great way to enjoy a run around some beautiful Dorset countryside.

The biggest event of the year at The Tank Museum – you need to buy tickets well in advance as these days are always sold out.

Tolpuddle Martyr’s Festival

Celebrating the formation of the very first trade union by farmers in Tolpuddle in the 1830’s.

Takes place at The Lulworth Estate, and enchanting wooded country estate at the heart of Dorset’s Jurassic Coast.

Dorset Rotary Bike Ride

This great event has eight routes to choose from 10 to 108 miles. Enter and select your distance to enjoy the wonderful Dorset scenery and raise money for charity.

A model exhibition of military vehicles boats, planes and motor racing cars  with advice on how to make your own scale models.

There are many Firework displays taking place, but it’s best to keep your eyes peeled as these are normally advertised very close to the time. Bovington Garrison put on a great display!

Bovington Marathon and Half Marathon

This event really will give you a wet and muddy finish to the year! Run either the full or half marathon on a hilly, wet and muddy course.

Enjoy a wonderful Vintage Christmas including a market for those unique Christmas gifts and also a chance to learn more about what it was like from the 1920’s to Post War era at Christmas.
